‘You’ll always be in my heart’ – Pogba breaks silence as Juventus officially terminate his contract

Paul Pogba’s tough time at Juventus has officially come to an end after the club terminated his contract following his doping suspension.

The 31-year-old French midfielder is now a free agent and could be on the verge of a Premier League return, according to SunSport.

Juventus announced the decision in a 34-word statement:
“Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024.

“The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future.”

Pogba, who tested positive for the banned substance DHEA in August 2023, initially faced a four-year ban.

The suspension, however, was reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, allowing him to return to training in January and play competitively by March.

Despite this lifeline, both parties agreed to part ways.

Speculation is rife about Pogba’s next move, with SunSport reporting that Arsenal legends Emmanuel Petit and Bacary Sagna have encouraged the Gunners to sign the midfielder.
