World Remembers, Celebrates Bob Marley 39 Years After Death
Thirty-nine years ago, that was on May 11, 1981, Jamaican singer, Bob Marley passed on at the University of Miami Hospital, Miami, Florida, United States of America.
As the late Rastafarian clocks 39 in the world beyond, reggae lovers have taken to social media especially Twitter to celebrate him.
Born 6 February 1945, Robert Nesta Marley, a late Jamaican singer, songwriter and musician, who is considered one of the pioneers of reggae, would have turned 75 years old today.
Bob Marley’s musical career was marked by fusing elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady, as well as his distinctive vocal and songwriting style. He died an untimely death on May 11, 1981.
