Wike dedicates PDP’s victory in Rivers to God
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dedicated the victory of the PDP in the state’s governorship election to God.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday, 20th of March declared the PDP candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, the governor-elect after he defeated Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Announcing the result in Port Harcourt, the Returning Officer said Fubara secured 302,614 votes while Pastor Tonye Cole, came second with a total number of 95,274 votes.
Wike, speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said it was “only God that could guarantee this kind of victory achieved by the party.”
Fubara has also promised the people of Rivers not to disappoint them.
