Why we issued arrest warrant for Portable – Ogun state Police
The Ogun state Police command has finally disclosed the reason for issuing an arrest warrant for controversial singer, Portable.
According to the Command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the singer had been invited to the police station on five separate occasions, but he refused to comply with the invitation.
Portable was summoned for questioning after a report was filed against him, and the police had also sent an invitation to him through his father twice, but he still did not show up.
“We have also sent an invitation to him through his father like two times, yet he did not show his face,” he said.
Following his continuous refusal to honour the invitation, the police obtained an arrest warrant for Portable from a court of law.
“When the officers got to the place to carry out the arrest, Portable, on sighting them, stripped himself N@kEd to create a scene. He isn’t above the law,” the police spokesperson added.
Recall, on March 28, Portable had taken to Instagram Live to accuse some police officers of harassing him in his office.
In the video, he claimed to be a liability to the Federal Government and an employee of the ruling party, asserting that nothing could be done to him.
