Why I divorced Chris Attoh after 2 years of marriage – Damilola Adegbite opens up for the first time

Nollywood actress, Damilola Adegbite, has finally opened up about her reason for divorcing actor Chris Attoh after only two years of marriage.

After welcoming a son together in 2014, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2015. The pair had met on the set of the award-winning soap opera “Tinsel.”

During an interview with prominent journalist Chude Jideonwo, the actress revealed that they had realized that “love is not enough” and that this was the reason for their separation.

The couple officially divorced in September 2017, but Damilola has stated that she has no regrets about ending her marriage.

The single mother also emphasized that she still holds Chris Attoh in high regard because he is the father of their son.

According to her, love is only one of the many qualities that are necessary when choosing someone to spend one’s life with, and it is not the only deciding factor.

This is coming months after her handbag which contained her money and phone was stolen and almost left her stranded in London only to receive help from a good Samaritan.

Speaking about the incident on her Instagram page, Damilola Adegbite wrote; “Regardless of where you are or where you plan to go, the most important thing is for God to be with you. My handbag was stolen some weeks ago in London.

My phone and all my money for the trip gone in a second, literally. MET police had to get involved. It was like a movie. Thank God for a helper. I would have been stranded in a foreign land. The world has changed guys.

She added; Got an alert from Apple. My phone has reached China before me 😂 It is well. Just try and make the most of whatever situation you find yourself in as you aim for higher!”
