A Human Rights activist, Serah Ibrahim, has reacted to the expulsion of the UNIZIK student who assaulted a lecturer, questioning if the lecturer was punished.
Recall that the female student, Precious Mbakwe, has been in the headlines over a viral video showing her physically assaulting a male lecturer for interrupting her video recording.
The University, after conducting its investigations, on Friday announced the expulsion of Precious.
Reacting to this, Serah Ibrahim questioned if the lecturer was also punished.
She stated that the decision of the University to expel the student was done rather quickly.
The Human Rights pioneer further noted that she was hoping the school would give a detailed statement to state the truth or call out the lies, because the student had accused the lecturer of touching her breast region.
She wrote, ““Assault on a lecturer”
The UNIZIK student has been expelled, and I would say, fortunately or unfortunately, it was really quick.
If I may ask, was there any punishment to the lecturer?
I’m sure a lot of people will learn from this.
This has elicited reactions from Nigerians.

Please I would like to know.
@OK4crown said, “Punishment to the lecturer for what exactly??? We all saw the video and he did no wrong.

A man who was visibly calm and collected in the midst of that assault? Sho ya wayray ni?
@Paul_bem stated, “We are giving the lecturer an award for remaining so calm in the midst of such provocation.
