Villarreal closing in on Manchester United star priced €10m

Villarreal are set to address their defensive woes with the potential signing of Manchester United’s young centre-back Willy Kambwala.

The 19-year-old French defender is reportedly ready to join the Yellow Submarine for a reported fee of €10 million, with a buy-back clause included for United.

“Villarreal are closing in on deal to sign Willy Kambwala from Manchester United!

“Understand it will be a permanent transfer for fee around €10m for 2004 born CB. The deal also includes a future buy-back clause for Man United,” reports Fabrizio Romano.

The central defense has been a critical area for Villarreal, having conceded 65 goals in La Liga last season.

The planned acquisition of Kambwala will mark the first step in bolstering their backline this summer.

Kambwala only made 10 appearances for Manchester United last season, but showed talent in those games.

He faces limited playing time due to the club’s pursuit of multiple new centre-backs.
