Vendor shares how man swindled N920K jewelry from her dispatch rider (Video)
A vendor has shared how a Lekki big boy swindled a piece of jewelry worth N920,000 after she sent her dispatch rider to deliver the item to him.
According to the jeweller identified on Instagram as hollyghost_nicki, a certain customer who went by the name ‘Ola Nelson’ had contacted her for a Moissanite diamond pendant which cost N920K.
Although she doesn’t usually accept payment on delivery, she had accepted to deliver the item and collect the payment, due to how their conversation had gone.
The vendor revealed that she had sent her dispatch rider to deliver the item to the supposed customer who was supposed to meet him at his ‘office’.
However, Ola Nelson changed location and told the rider to meet him at a restaurant.
When they finally met there, he asked the rider to unbox the item so he can check the authenticity; meanwhile, he asked the vendor to confirm her account details which she did.
He then told the dispatch rider to wear it on him, and after he had done that, he told the delivery man that he had paid for it.
The vendor revealed that while the dispatch rider called to confirm whether she received the payment, Ola Nelson told him that he wanted to quickly step out and get something (while the jewellery was still on him).
The supposed customer never returned after stepping out and the vendor has taken online to call out the scammer.
