UNIZIK breaks silence on expulsion of female student
The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has addressed the expulsion of Precious Mbakwe, the female student involved in a physical altercation with a lecturer.
It’s worth noting that UNIZIK has been in the headlines recently , following a video showing Precious Mbakwe, physically assaulting a male lecturer for interrupting her dance video.
Earlier, the university management released a statement announcing the expulsion of Precious Mbakwe.
In a recent development, the university issued a follow-up statement,revealing details about Precious Mbakwe’s expulsion.
The statement revealed that the assaulted lecturer and Precious Mbakwe were given a fair hearing by the disciplinary committee set up to investigate the incident.
The statement released stated that Precious Mbakwe’s expulsion stemmed from the findings and recommendations of the disciplinary committee, with immediate effect to return the university properties in her possession.
Furthermore, the university emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the institution.
Part of the statement reads, “The actors involved were given a fair hearing by the Students Disciplinary Committee.
After a thorough review by the committe the act committed by Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious was deemed a gross misconduct and a violation of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Students Disciplinary.
