Nigerian pastor Deborah Emmanuel Omale has issued a strong warning to women, advising them to ensure that their bride price is paid before moving in with any man.
The clergywoman stated women who live with men without a formal bride price are essentially relegating themselves to the role of “house helps.”
She went on to explain that men who are not committed enough to pay the bride price are unlikely to take the relationship seriously in the long term.
According to her, such men may eventually leave for another woman once the time comes to formalize the relationship.
In her address, Pastor Deborah also urged women who find themselves in this situation to take corrective measures before it becomes too late.
