UK based man sacked after telling friend he sleeps during night shift

A UK based Nigerian man has been sacked after he told his friend that he sleeps during his night shift at work.

A man, identified simply as valvex, shared this on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He stated that the friend of the man, called the company after his friend confided in him, adding that the manager came in at night and caught the victim sleeping.

This led to him getting sacked from his place of work.

This has however, led to varrying opinions on the social media.

Some people are blaming the man for not keeping his mouth shut, while others find the friend to be the one at fault.

Mbawuike Daniel stated, “So people can’t confide in their friends anymore. I see people saying he is a talkative. He didn’t tell a bunch of people, he told his friend and his friend called the company. Come on, why are you not seeing how crazy his friend is.

Princebettingtips wrote, “That’s a true friend who wants the growth of the company. You don’t get to sleep on duty. What if it’s a security work or something. If you can’t do a job, don’t accept a job. There’s no sympathy in business.
