UCL: Raphinha bags hat-trick as Barcelona thrash Bayern Munich 4-1
Barcelona cruised to a 4-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with Raphinha stealing the show at the Estadi Olimpic.
The Brazilian winger’s hat-trick secured a crucial win, helping Hansi Flick’s side continue their resurgence after an opening round defeat.
The match began with Raphinha netting the opener just 60 seconds in, calmly slotting past Manuel Neuer after a perfect through ball from Fermin Lopez.
Bayern thought they had an equalizer when Harry Kane found the net, but VAR intervened, ruling out the goal.
Kane eventually equalized for Bayern in the 18th minute, but Barcelona quickly responded through Robert Lewandowski, who scored against his former club to restore Barcelona’s lead.
Raphinha then took over, scoring twice more, with his second goal coming just before halftime from a Marc Casado assist.
He completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute, finishing another well-worked move from Lamine Yamal.
The victory moves Barcelona to six points in their group.
