Real Madrid have booked their place in Champions League final, courtesy of Mato Joselu’s brilliance off the bench.
The Spanish striker who was once considered a Premier League disappointment, turned to be the hero of the thrilling encounter.
Joselu netted two late goals with his first three touches of the ball.
Bayern Munich initially took the lead with a thunderous strike from Canadian sensation Alphonso Davies in the 68th minute, raising the German giants hopes.
Despite the presence of former Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Eric Dier, who sought redemption for past defeats, Real Madrid prevailed.
In the 88th minute, Joselu came off the bench to level the score before sealing victory just two minutes later.
The last was initially ruled offside, but a quick VAR review overturned the decision, confirming Joselu’s onside position and sparking celebrations among Madrid fans.
With the win, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will now face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1, at the Wembley Stadium in London.
