UCL: AC Milan salvage 2-1 victory against PSG to break deadlock
AC Milan managed to secure their first victory in the Champions League by defeating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 2-1.
The Italian team had struggled in the competition with two points and no goals in their previous three matches.
Rafael Leao scored the opening goal for Milan with an acrobatic bicycle kick, and Olivier Giroud added another with a header.
PSG, on the other hand, managed to find the net through former Inter defender Milan Skriniar.
The match saw Milan ultras preparing thousands of fake banknotes with Gianluigi Donnarumma’s face on them to throw at the PSG goalkeeper.
Donnarumma was facing Milan as an opponent for the first time since his free transfer in 2021.
Despite missing several key players, Milan delivered a solid performance, and their victory revived their hopes of advancing in the Champions League, after Newcastle lost to Dortmund.
