Tuchel reportedly eyeing Manchester United job
Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in taking over as Manchester United coach should Erik ten Hag leave the side at the end of the season.
The German manager will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, concluding a brief stint with the Bundesliga giants.
Bayern’s season has been less than desirable, having failed to clinch their domestic league title for the first time in over a decade.
While they are still hopeful of a Champions League title, nothing has changed about Tuchel’s departure from Bayern as the season draws to a close.
Meanwhile, following uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford due to the team’s inconsistent performance in the Premier League, the Red Devils are said to be considering a possible change of manager.
United currently sit sixth in the EPL table and unable to secure a top-four finish.
However, they also eye a European competition next season, if they don’t fall beyond seventh position.
Manchester United will also face arch-rivals Manchester City in an upcoming FA Cup final.
If Tuchel succeeds, he will arrive Old Trafford with a long standing experience in the Premier League, having coached Chelsea.
His tenure at Stamford Bridge saw him win the Champions League title, the Super Cup and Club World Cup.
