Tuchel gives up on Bundesliga title race, congratulates Bayer Leverkusen

Thomas Tuchel has conceded defeat in the Bundesliga title race following Bayern Munich’s 2-0 loss against Borussia Dortmund.

With just seven games remaining, Bayern now trails leaders Bayer Leverkusen by 13 points.

Borussia Dortmund secured the historic win at the Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.

Goals from Karim Adeyemi and Julian Ryerson, marked the German giants first Bundesliga win against Bayern since April 2014.

 

In a post-match interview with Sky Germany, Tuchel said, “Congratulations to Bayer Leverkusen!”

He also admitted that there is “no hope left” for Bayern in the Bundesliga title this season.
