Transfer: Real Madrid eye Enzo Fernandez in swap deal for Aurelien Tchouameni
Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a surprise move for Chelsea’s midfield star, Enzo Fernandez.
The Spanish giants are willing to include Aurelien Tchouameni in a direct swap deal to make it happen.
According to South American outlet DSports, the Spanish giants are “going all out” to secure Fernandez, who joined Chelsea in January 2023 for a record-breaking £106 million.
Despite showing flashes of brilliance across his 87 appearances for the Blues, the 24-year-old Argentine has yet to fully justify his hefty price tag.
Real Madrid are said to propose a straight swap, with no additional cash involved, to bring Fernandez to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Tchouameni, also 24, has reportedly grown dissatisfied with his limited opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti this season, often deployed out of position as a center-back.
The French international, who joined Madrid in 2022 from Monaco for £85.3 million, has made over 100 appearances and won the Champions League, La Liga, and the Club World Cup.
However, his struggles for consistent midfield starts may pave the way for a potential exit.
