Transfer: Chelsea enter race for Jobe Bellingham

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is reportedly preparing a bid for Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham as the club looks to bolster its English core under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The 19-year-old, younger brother of England star Jude Bellingham, has attracted interest from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Chelsea are now prepared to outbid rivals to bring him to the Premier League.
Bellingham joined Sunderland from Birmingham City in 2023 for £3 million and signed a contract extension until 2028.
While the Black Cats are pushing for promotion to the Premier League, failure to go up this season could force them to sell their prized asset.
Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also monitoring the midfielder, but Chelsea’s involvement is seen as a significant development.
If signed, Bellingham could join Cole Palmer and incoming Brazilian wonderkid Willian EstevĂ£o in a reshaped Blues midfield next season.
