Transfer: Aston Villa reportedly accept Al-Nassr’s €70m bid for Jhon Duran
Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is on the verge of a blockbuster move to Al-Nassr, where he will link up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to L’Equipe, Villa are reportedly “ready to accept” an offer exceeding €70 million (£59m/$73m) for the 21-year-old, who has already agreed personal terms with the Saudi Pro League club.
Initially, Villa were unwilling to let Duran leave in January, with Paris Saint-Germain eyeing a summer move.
Reports also suggested that Real Madrid were considering a swap deal involving Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.
However, Al-Nassr have now emerged as the frontrunners to secure his signature.
The Saudi side has been looking to strengthen their attack, particularly after Anderson Talisca’s departure to Fenerbahce.
Ronaldo had reportedly urged the club to sign a new forward to boost their title challenge, and Duran now appears to be the chosen man.
Duran is still expected to feature for Aston Villa in their Champions League clash against Celtic on Wednesday before completing the move.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will face Al-Raed in their next league fixture on Thursday.
