Tottenham book medical test for Timo Werner as loan deal set to be signed
Tottenham have agreed a deal with RB Leipzig to loan Timo Werner for the rest of the season with an option to buy in the summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano announced on his X account on Sunday that the London club have already booked medicals for the German player, with potential training with Spurs later in the week.
“Tottenham have already booked medical tests for Timo Werner as they wait for contracts to be signed then loan deal will be completed.
“Werner will start training as new Spurs player next week,” he added.
According to reports, Werner has been given permission to fly to London while his buy option is worth £15million.
If the deal works out as expected, it will see the Werner return to the Premier League just 18 months after leaving Chelsea following a two-year spell.
However, it will be yet another missed opportunity for Manchester United, who were keen on signing the 27-year-old to bolster their attacking options.
