Brennan Johnson sparked the comeback in the 49th minute, converting a brilliant cross from Son Heung-min.

Son, however, was visibly frustrated when subbed off shortly after, expressing surprise at his manager’s decision.

With Villa trying to hold their lead, Solanke rose to the occasion.

He chipped Martinez for his first goal and quickly added a second, tapping in a setup from Richarlison.

James Maddison capped the comeback with a stunning free-kick in added time, sealing Spurs’ ninth win in 11 games.
