Tiwa Savage to perform at coronation of King Charles III

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has been selected to perform at the forthcoming coronation of the British monarch, King Charles III, in a historic event at Westminster Abbey.

King Charles III, who is ascending the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, will be crowned alongside Queen Consort Camilla on May 6, 2023.

The coronation concert and Big Lunch will take place the following day, May 7, 2023.

Tiwa Savage will be performing alongside other celebrities such as Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang and Lucy, Paloma Faith, and Olly Murs, making her the first Nigerian artiste to receive an invitation to perform at a foreign royal coronation ceremony.

Additionally, she is one of the few African artists to be chosen to perform at this historic event.
