“Tinubu’s administration is a failure” – Kola Ologbondiyan
Kola Ologbondiyan, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration for failing to provide effective governance to Nigerians.
Ologbondiyan stated that Nigerians are fully aware of the government’s shortcomings and expressed disappointment in its inability to tackle the challenges facing the populace.
During an interview with Channels TV on Friday, he condemned the administration’s tendency to label genuine critics of its policies as “haters,” rather than addressing their concerns constructively.
“As we speak close to seventy to eighty percent of Nigerians are going to tell you that the administration is failing and is a matter of fact.
“As per the impact in the lives of the people, what is the essence of government if it does not reflect in good governance in the lives of the people? What’s the essence of it? So that is the issue. Sometimes, they speak about hatred and I always ask myself what are these people talking about.
“Come on board, come and explain the policy. Come on tell Nigerians why the policy goes this way. Come on, discuss with Nigerians what the government can do.
“Let Nigerians tell you too what you think that government can do. Don’t just sit on overboard there and think that you are talking down on ordinary Nigerians,” he said.
The former spokesman of the PDP also condemned the President’s method of removing petrol subsidy and floating the naira.
“I ask myself what feedback mechanism President Tinubu is getting. You introduce a holistic subsidy removal that has brought the nation to its knees, you introduce floating of the Naira that has made purchases difficult,” he added.
