A lady has sparked reactions on social media after expressing surprise that her date ordered eba during their first outing.

A video circulating online showed the man seemingly enjoying his meal while seated across from the lady at a restaurant. His choice of food, however, appeared to catch his date off guard.

In the video, a plate of eba and soup was placed in front of the man, while another plate containing well-garnished rice was believed to belong to the lady.

As she recorded the moment, the man appeared completely comfortable, calmly enjoying and swallowing his eba without showing any concern about being filmed.

Sharing the video online, the lady wrote: “This boy come date dey swallow eba.”

The clip quickly gained attention and triggered mixed reactions from social media users. While some found the situation amusing, others defended the man’s decision to eat whatever he wanted.

Netizens defend man’s food choice

Reacting to the video, Samson Olamide wrote:

“Make I chop rice 15k make I no still full Abi. Oga supply more Eba”.

Blessed Grey also shared a similar experience, writing:

“Ehh, my friends were literally angry with me because I ordered beans, plantain, fish and yam.They were like bro, who the hell eats this outside? I was just tired of eating rice, spaghetti and all the usual stuff every time we go out. I just wanted proper home-style food for once.”

Jeremiah Esan described the man as potential husband material, stating:
