‘The world is full of people who will not like you no matter what you do’ – Denrele Edun

Nigerian entertainer, Denrele Edun recently took to social media to share his experience with a friend’s white husband who disliked him and found it hard to hide it.

In a lengthy Instagram post, he talked about how the said man always got riled up whenever he came around them or ran into them at events. Edun revealed that it surprised him a lot seeing as white people were more welcoming of hid lifestyle.

He ended the post by advising people to be okay with not be liked by everyone.

In his words:

“You are not for everyone, and that’s okay. The world is full of people who, no matter what you do, will point blank NOT like you. Being disliked by some is simply a byproduct of being authentic to who you truly are. But it is also filled with people who will LOVE YOU FIERCELY! You are not for everyone, and that’s okay!”
