Ten Hag walks out of press conference after refusing to answer question
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag left reporters surprised when he abruptly walked out of his post-match press conference.
The incident unfolded after United’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Dutchman was asked about United’s recent poor form and their struggle to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.
With United currently sitting in seventh place, questions arose about the possibility of their worst-ever Premier League finish.
During the press conference, a reporter began to ask about the risk of United finishing below seventh place, which would mark their lowest position in Premier League history.
However, before the question could be completed, Ten Hag interrupted, stating, “I don’t comment. I don’t take that question. That is not that important for this moment.”
Ten Hag then stood up and walked away from his chair.
Despite their struggles in the league, United still have a chance to salvage their season in the FA Cup.
They are set to face Championship side Coventry in the semi-finals at Wembley, aiming to reach the final for the second consecutive season.
