Teacher uses 27 envelopes with 5 containing ₦1,000 cash to teach probability to SS1 students
A Nigerian teacher recently took to social media to showcase his unique approach to teaching mathematics to SS1 students on the topic of probability.
He shared his experience on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that his class comprised 17 students.
To enhance their understanding of the topic, he purchased 27 envelopes, five of which contained #1,000 each, while the others held paper.
Although he didn’t provide complete details of the class session, he expressed confidence in his teaching methods, announcing that the lesson went well.
In his post, he wrote: “I’m taking SS1 probability this morning. There are 27 students. I’ll be entering their class with 27 envelopes, five containing 1k each and the rest containing paper. They’ll randomly pick one, and we’ll start the class from there. Taught my first class today. These kids are lucky to have me 😂. I’m good, gan.”
