Tanker crushes first-class Abia graduate after clearance
A first-class graduate of Abia State Polytechnic has met her untimely demise after being crushed by a tanker shortly after her academic clearance.
The incident occurred in front of the institution, where the young first-class accounting graduate was fatally crushed by a fast-moving tanker.
According to eyewitness accounts, the first class graduate whose name is Mary Ogechi Ezekiel, had just completed her academic clearance.
Having successfully completed her clearance, she excitedly exchanged pleasantries with her colleagues, expressing joy at the prospect of soon being mobilized for the NYSC.
Tragically, moments later, Mary’s life took a devastating turn. While attempting to cross the road, she was struck by a tricycle.
Before she could recover from the initial collision, she was mercilessly crushed by a fast-moving tanker, leaving her lifeless on the street.
Mary, who was raised by her struggling mother, had received a scholarship from an organization to pursue a post-graduate course.
The scholarship, however, was cut short by the tragic accident that claimed her life.
In response to the harrowing incident, students of Abia State Polytechnic expressed their collective anguish and outrage by taking to the streets.
Their protest centered around the tanker responsible for Mary’s untimely demise, as they demanded accountability and justice for their fallen comrade.
Graphic photos and videos from the scene depicted the heartbreaking aftermath, showing Mary in a pool of blood, wearing the same clothes and shoes she had been photographed in just moments before the tragic incident.
