“Take your hate to the court” – Apostle Suleman retorts critics who faulted his prayer for Ike Ekweremadu
Nigerian televangelist and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has clapped back at critics who faulted his prayers for former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
The cleric had prayed that God will see Ike Ekweremadu and his family through their current situation. The prayer followed Ekweremadu and his wife’s arrest by the Metropolitan Police in London for alleged conspiracy to harvest the organs of a child.
Reports had clarified that the Ekweremadus’ needed the boy’s kidney for their daughter, Sonia, who is suffering from a kidney problem.
On social media, Apostle Suleman prayed: “Heard about the travails of the former deputy senate president, may God see him through..may God protect their child and spare her life.. Thank GOD for preserving the life of that minor who was to be used.. May God help them to do the right thing.. This too shall pass!”
Opposing the prayer, some Twitter users called him out for praying for someone who allegedly committed a crime.
In reaction, Suleman wrote: “I just made a prayer for all those involved in the issue of the former deputy senate president and I see reactions.. since you have become the law court, take your hate somewhere else and don’t join those I have blocked..even a confirmed thief on the cross, Jesus prayed for him.”
