Tackle Corruption and Revive the Economy – EWCA Urges President Tinubu
Tackle Corruption and Revive the Economy was the advice of Rev. Stephen Baba-Panya, President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), EWCA Urges President Tinubu to engage in a better Nigeria.
He made the statement on Saturday in Jos, Nigeria, during the installation of the ECWA’s General Secretary, and board of trustees, and farewell to the outgoing General Secretary.
“If corruption and insecurity are not addressed, Nigeria will not thrive,” he declared.
He urged the new President to make choices based on merit and equity, particularly in the security sector.

Baba-Panya charged the newly appointed General Secretary and the board of trustees with performing their jobs to the best of their abilities in order to fulfil God’s calling on them.
Good leadership, according to the event’s guest speaker, Prof. Samuel Kunhiyop, is a matter of accountability and interpersonal relationships.
He charged the newly appointed Church council members with avoiding attitudes that could stymie good human interactions, especially pride, abuse of power, and desperation, among other vices.
He also urged the newcomers to embrace teamwork.
In a statement, the outgoing General Secretary of ECWA, Rev Yunusa Nmadu, stated that during his term, a bylaw for ECWA was formed, the rule of law was followed, and corruption was never permitted.
He informed his successor of his unwavering commitment to making the Church even stronger.
The new Secretary General, Rev. Ayuba Asheshe, said his appointment was a call to service and that he would focus on uniting the Church.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the two board of trustees members are Rev. Michael Adamu for ECWA Zone 2 and Retired Rev. Isaac Laudarji for ECWA Zone 6.
