T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in Nigeria – Atiku tackles Tinubu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being indifferent to the country’s economic hardships.

According to Gistreel, the former vice president made this statement in response to the recent hike in petrol prices. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) raised fuel prices from ₦897 to ₦1,030 per litre in Abuja, and from ₦855 to ₦998 in Lagos.

This price increase has worsened the economic struggles of Nigerians, who continue to voice their frustrations.

In a post via X on Thursday, Atiku stated that the haphazard approach of the administration of President Tinubu to fuel subsidy management is the reason for the economic crisis in the country.

Atiku noted that Tinubu’s silence to the current challenge in the country is worrisome.

He said, “The haphazard and disingenuous approach of the current administration to fuel subsidy management has been the reason we are in this current economic crisis in the country.

“As things stand, there will be no let up in the escalating inflation rate, which is drowning the material well-being of Nigerians. It is even more worrying that T-pain is undisturbed by the hardship in the country.”

According to reports, T-pain is a play on the first letter of the president’s last name which is currently trending on social media, presumably with inspiration from American rapper Faheem Najm, who goes by the stage name T-Pain.
