Super Eagles’ Cyriel Dessers wins Rangers’ January Goal of the Month award

Super Eagles’ forward Cyriel Dessers has been named Rangers’ Men’s Goal of the Month award winner for January.

The award follows his stunning strike against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League.

The Nigeria international scored in the 83rd minute of Rangers’ 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford, getting on the end of a long pass from James Tavernier.

Using his strength to outmuscle Harry Maguire, the 30-year-old controlled the ball with his left side before slotting it into the bottom corner.

Dessers has been in top form, registering five goals and two assists in his last five games.

Rangers will next face Queen’s Park in a Scottish Cup fifth-round tie on Sunday, with the star hoping to continue his high scoring form.
