Suarez lashes out at Uruguay’s critics after dramatic World Cup exit in Qatar

Luis Suarez took a swipe at Uruguay’s critics on Instagram following his country’s elimination from the 2022 World Cup, despite a 2-0 win over Ghana on Friday, December 2, in their final group stage match.

Despite winning 2-0, Uruguay crashed out of the World Cup after South Korea defeated Portugal 2-1.  The Asian nation took the second spot in the group, having scored more goals than the South American team.

Suarez who slammed those criticizing his country following their ext, wrote on Instagram;

 “Saying goodbye to a World Cup hurts a lot, but we have the peace of mind that we left everything for our country.

“Proud to be URUGUAYAN although they DON’T RESPECT US. Thanks to each of the Uruguayans who supported us in every part of the world!”
