SOP: Why your Canada study visa may be rejected
A Canada-based Nigerian who is an expert at immigration to the country shares her two cents on why a study visa to Canada may be rejected due to SOP.
According to the Japa expert identified as Gloria, a carefully crafted Statement of Purpose (SOP) holds significant importance in securing approval for a study permit.
Gloria emphasized that some Canadian study permit applications face rejection due to inadequately written SOPs or suspicion of a copy and paste.
In a TikTok video, she read aloud a rejection letter received by an applicant seeking a study permit in Canada.
She advised prospective applicants to refrain from using shallow reasons in their SOP, as their ties to their home country play a significant part in either the rejection or approval.
