Singer L.A.X explains why he filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against a Twitter troll
Singer Damilola Afolabi, known professionally as L.A.X, has explained why he filed an N500 million defamation suit against a Twitter troll.
Recall that a lady, with the username @edna_reese, alleged that the singer had herpes. Her statement was made in response to a loved-up photo shared online by the singer.
In reaction to the singer’s photos, @edna_reese quoted the post, claiming the singer has the herpes virus.
She wrote: ‘Rasaki wicked herpes giver. Omo! Love and light to you.’
A few days later, the lady, in a new post on her media page, revealed that she was arrested shortly after making the statement about L.A.X having the herpes virus.
During an interview with Chude, L.A.X disclosed that before he slapped the troll with the defamation suit, he checked her page and realized she was a cyberbully with a fake bio and profile picture who spreads lies about people to tarnish their image.
He revealed that he started getting phone calls and got tagged by so many people online; an action he said triggered him to contact his lawyer to file a lawsuit against the troll.
