AC Milan will sack their head coach Stefano Pioli, after a near miss to the Scudetto title race against arch-rivals Inter.
Recall Inter on Monday night clinched their 20th Serie A title with a 2-1 win against Milan at San Siro.
The home defeat raised questions about the future of Pioli at Milan.
However, a report by Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, suggests the manager will be axed by the end of the season.
On his X handle, Romano wrote, “Stefano Pioli will be sacked by AC Milan board at the end of the season despite public statements after the Derby.”
The transfer expert also revealed that “AC Milan are already looking for new manager.”
Meanwhile, after the game on Monday, Pioli maintained he has more to give at Milan even after the Scudetto title miss.
Comparing his team with Inter, he said “Simone Inzaghi (Inter manager) was struggling 14 months ago and look what he achieved.”
“I tried to raise the morale of the lads, as clearly it’s a painful defeat for everything that is behind it.
“I tried as much as possible to reassure my players, because we need to end the season well, we have another important game on Saturday,”
“Unfortunately, we were again unable to even get a draw in this derby,” Pioli added.
