Serie A: Conte to lead AC Milan next season
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been tipped for AC Milan job next season, after a long spell without managerial duties.
Accoridng to reports by TeleLombardia, Conte has agreed to become Milan’s head coach for the upcoming season.
The report stated that the Italian coach has accepted the terms offered by the club and is set to take on the role.
Rumors of Milan’s interest in Conte had been circulating for some time, with suggestions that Conte had been in direct discussions with the club’s senior advisor, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Recall Conte had opted to take a sabbatical for the current season to spend time with his family, turning down an approach from Napoli in October.
His last managerial role was with Tottenham Hotspur, where he mutually terminated his contract in March 2023.
Meanwhile, returning to San Siro would be a homecoming for Conte, who previously led Inter to a Serie A title in 2021.
Before his successful stint at Inter, Conte also enjoyed a successful spell with Juventus, both as a player and a coach, before taking charge of the Italian national team for two years.
