Serie A: Chukwueze denied twice in Milan’s thrilling draw against Sassuolo
Sassuolo and Milan battled to a 3-3 draw, with Noah Okafor rescuing a point for the Rossoneri in the dying minute.
Despite Milan’s comeback from 3-1 down, two Samuel Chukwueze goals were controversially disallowed for offside.
Sassuolo took an early lead through Andrea Pinamonti’s, in the fourth minute, extending it their advantage with Armand Laurienté capitalizing on a rebound after Marco Sportiello’s save.
However, Rafael Leao produced a moment of individual brilliance to pull one back for the visitors.
Yet, Sassuolo remained dangerous, adding a third goal through Lauriente’s well-placed shot into the bottom corner minutes into the second half.
The match took another turn when Luka Jovic tapped in a rebound to reduce the deficit for Milan.
Despite Chukwueze finding the net twice, both goals were disallowed for offside, leaving the visitors frustrated.
Nevertheless, Milan’s pressure paid off in the closing minutes, as substitute Noah Okafor volleyed home from close range to salvage a point for the Rossoneri.
