Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new Saudi Pro League record scoring 35 goals in 31 appearances in a single season.
This surpasses the previous record of 34 goals set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in 2019/20.
In Al Nassr’s final league match against Al Ittihad, Ronaldo netted twice in a 4-2 win, securing second place for his team.
The 39-year-old also contributed 11 assists in his first full season with the club.
Ronaldo’s achievement in the Saudi Pro League is another milestone in his illustrious career.
He is now the first player ever to be topscorer in four different leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Saudi Pro League.
He won the Premier League Golden Boot with Manchester United in 2008, was La Liga’s top scorer three times with Real Madrid, and claimed the Serie A top scorer title in 2020/21 with Juventus.
The only major league where Ronaldo hasn’t finished as the top scorer is the Primeira Liga in Portugal, where he scored three goals in 25 appearances during the 2002/03 season as a teenager.
