Roma to sack Ivan Juric after Bologna game, eye Roberto Mancini as successor
Roma are reportedly set to part ways with head coach Ivan Juric after Sunday’s Serie A clash against Bologna.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports ongoing talks with Roberto Mancini as a potential replacement for the coach.
Juric, who took over from Daniele De Rossi in mid-September, has had a mixed record of four wins, three draws, and four losses in his 11 matches in charge.
With Roma’s American owners, the Friedkins, arriving in the capital, speculation is mounting that Juric’s time is running out.
The Friedkins’ last trip to Rome was to personally dismiss De Rossi and they had previously informed José Mourinho of his termination in January.
This history adds weight to rumours of Juric’s impending departure.
Meanwhile, Mancini, who recently left his role with Saudi Arabia, is reported to be Roma’s top choice and is in talks for a two-year contract with an optional extension.
Additionally, the Friedkins are considering Sassuolo’s Giovanni Carnevali as Roma’s new CEO.
