Roma have formally requested the postponement of their upcoming match against Atalanta, citing their congested May schedule.
The Giallorossi face a challenging period in May, with four demanding fixtures scheduled within a span of just 10 days.
This includes both legs of the Europa League semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen, as well as league encounters against Juventus and Atalanta.
Recall Roma had earlier protested the rescheduling of their postponed match against Udinese to April 25, expressing frustration over the crowded fixture list, particularly as they prepare to face a strong Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.
In their latest appeal to Lega Serie A, Roma has requested that their clash with Atalanta, originally slated for May 12th, be moved to the following day being 13th.
The rationale behind this request is the mutual participation of both clubs in the Europa League semi-finals.
However, the likelihood of this request being granted appears slim, given that the Coppa Italia final between Atalanta and Juventus is scheduled for May 15th at the Stadio Olimpico.
Additionally, Roma have urged for the postponement of the Coppa Italia final, emphasizing the absence of other cup competitions involving Juventus.
