Robert Lewandowski’s home flooded amid heavy storms in Barcelona
Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski’s home has been affected by severe flooding as heavy storms and heavy rain continue to batter Spain
The major hit of the storm has been reported to be the Barcelona area.
A red alert weather warning has been issued for the region, marking the situation as one of “extreme danger.”
Authorities have advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel as the region struggles with intense flash flooding that has already claimed at least 217 lives across eastern Spain.
The flooding reached Lewandowski’s residence, with his wife, Anna, sharing footage on Instagram that showed ankle-deep water in their parking area.
Her videos also captured cars attempting to drive through flooded roads near their home.
Despite the challenges posed by the storm, Barcelona’s recent La Liga match went on as scheduled, with Lewandowski playing the full 90 minutes in a 3-1 win over Espanyol.
Although he didn’t score in that match, Lewandowski has been in impressive form this season, netting 17 goals and providing two assists in just 15 appearances across La Liga and the Champions League.
