Rep member challenges PDP governors for allowing Wike attend National Caucus meeting
Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of the House of Representatives from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called out the PDP governors and chiefs for allowing Mr. Nyesom Wike, who is associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) government, to attend the National Caucus meeting.
Gistreel reports that Wike is the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and has been actively promoting the Renewed Hope mantra of the APC government.
Responding to the picture images of Wike sitting besides other PDP chiefs including 1999 and 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Ugochinyere went to his X handle to blast the PDP governors and leaders, calling them weaklings.
“Is this really happening to us? PDP governors and National Caucus members sat helplessly without anyone standing up to stop a serving apc govt official from entering their closed door caucus meeting in abuja few hours ago. How weak can a party that claims that it wants to capture power in 2027 be by allowing a man campaigning for apc to stampede their meeting?
Wike’s presence at the meeting has been causing quite a stir among the PDP chiefs.
Wike isn’t a member of the National Caucus, so his attendance has raised some eyebrows and sparked curiosity within the party.
Wike is, however, expected at the PDP National Executive Committee, NEC meeting on Thursday being a member of the party’s Board of Trustees, BoT.
