Rene Hake excited to join Erik ten Hag at Manchester United

Manchester United are set to make their first signing of the summer, with Rene Hake joining Erik ten Hag’s staff at Old Trafford.

Under new leadership from INEOS, United are facing challenges in the transfer market due to financial fair play regulations, limiting their budget for new players.

Despite these constraints, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are moving to support Ten Hag, starting with getting a coaching staff.

Talks have been held with former PSV Eindhoven manager Ruud van Nistelrooy to become an assistant, but attention has shifted to securing Go Ahead Eagles manager René Hake.

Meanwhile, Hake has expressed his excitement for the role, describing it as a “great opportunity” and a “no-brainer” in an interview with Algemeen Dagblad.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on X, stating, “René Hake confirms he’s set to sign for Man United as new assistant coach.

“He’s leaving Go Ahead Eagles to join Man United coaching staff, as well as Ruud van Nistelrooy.”

Van Nistelrooy, well-loved by United fans for his goal-scoring record under Sir Alex Ferguson, is also expected to return to Old Trafford.
