Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, revealed on his social media handle that the French ace is this close to joining the Spanish giants, although no deal has been finalized yet.
“Real Madrid keep advancing on Kylian Mbappé deal with confidence — but nothing has been signed yet,” he said, adding that “Formal decision on player side expected soon.”
Similar to Romano’s update, French news outlet Le Parisien recently reported that Mbappé has made his decision, opting to join the La Liga giants as his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season.
This move comes two years after Mbappé turned down a transfer and instead renewed his contract with PSG.
Meanwhile, Gety Football France stated that an announcement on Mbappé’s future is expected soon, and that there are speculations that the player might publicly announce his departure to Real Madrid before the UEFA Champions League tie against Real Sociedad next week.
