Queens Park Rangers, Al Ettifaq among clubs preparing major swoop for Nwabali

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that English club Queens Park Rangers are interested in signing Stanley Nwabali.

The Super Eagles’ goalkeeper gained attention during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where he impressed with his performances for the Nigerian national team.

Despite making his competitive debut against Equatorial Guinea, he went on to keep four consecutive clean sheets in the tournament.

Nwabali played a crucial role in Nigeria’s journey to the final, where they were narrowly defeated by Côte d’Ivoire.

His beautiful display has now drawn attention from clubs in both UK and Saudi Arabia, with Italian journalist, Romano also mentioning that Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq has also shown interest in him.

“Nigeria GK Stanley Nwabali is on the radar of different clubs such as Al Ettifaq in Saudi and Queens Park Rangers in the UK,” Romano revealed on his X account.

He added that Chippa United will consider his future move in the coming months.

Nwabali’s career has seen him play for several clubs, including Go Round FC, Enyimba, Lobi Stars, and Katsina United, before joining Chippa United in 2022.

He earned his first cap for Nigeria in 2021 and was named Man of the Match in the AFCON 2023 semi-final against South Africa.
