Police arrests hoodlums for beating corps member to death in plateau
The Plateau State Police Command has arrested two suspected hoodlums for beating a corps member identified as Safwan Fade, to death.
The State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Adesina disclosed that Fade, who was serving with the Federal University of Education in Pankshin, was reportedly attacked and beaten to death by a group of hoodlums after they stormed a local stadium within the locality.
According to the Commissioner, the suspects were arrested after a thorough investigation.
He also promised to bring the perpetrators to justice, adding that they will not escape the wrath of the law.
He stated, “Upon receipt of the report, I immediately directed the DPO of Pankshin division to lead a team of policemen to the scene where the victim was quickly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital, treated and declared stable by the Medical Doctor on duty.
“The victim was later transferred to Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) as a result of some complications, and eventually died in the process.
