Police arrests, arraigns lady who shared kegs of petrol as souvenir at a party in Lagos

The main suspect, who handed out kegs of fuel as souvenirs at a party on Victoria Island’s Havilah Events Centre on March 4, 2022, has been apprehended and prosecuted.

It can be recalled that the Lagos State government had released a statement which deplored the act, describing it as unsafe and hazardous to human lives.

According to a statement released by CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, the state police command’s head of communications, the suspect, Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl, was arraigned on March 14, on a multiple charge of conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, risking human life by distributing flammable matter in a large event, intent to do damage to another, and wrongfully carrying on the business of distributing combustible matter in a large event.

The lady was, however, granted bail. The case is adjourned to 24th March.
