Mauricio Pochettino has hinted at his desire to remain at Chelsea following a dinner with club owner Todd Boehly.
The meeting took place on Friday night amidst ongoing speculations about his future at Stamford Bridge.
Despite a challenging season, Pochettino’s Chelsea won their last five Premier League games of the season, including a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in their final match of the campaign.
The victory sealed a sixth-place finish and a spot in next season’s Europa Conference League.
This position could potentially upgrade to a Europa League spot, if Manchester City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
While the Argentine gaffer is indifferent of any possible surprises from Chelsea owners, he remains optimistic he will keep his job.
Pochettino noted the pleasant nature of the dinner with Boehly but remained tight-lipped about the specifics.
“I am not going to explain. It is only for you to know that I was with him. I’m not going to talk about this,” he said.
