“Peter Obi is the symbol of hope” – Kenneth Okonkwo writes as he defects to Labour Party

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo is officially a member of the Labour Party (LP).

His decision to join the Labour Party comes a few weeks after he resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, owing to the party’s controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Announcing his new political party on Wednesday, August 24, the thespian shared photos depicting the moment he was welcomed to the party and issued a membership card.

Also, he heaped praises on his new party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, stressing that the latter is a symbol of hope of a new Nigeria. In his words: “There’s a natural fulfilment and joy inside of you, which money cannot buy, when you do what you are passionate about, flowing from inside of your heart

I am passionate for a new Nigeria and I will stop at nothing to see it come to pass. Peter Obi is the symbol of that hope of a new Nigeria and I am passionately pursuing this agenda now.”
